Pricing
What you pay for, and what you never pay for.
What you buy is a confidentiality perimeter: the work your team keeps in one place, and the line you draw around who can see it. That line is yours to draw, and it is also what the price rests on, which is why it is worth understanding before we talk.
The unit is a confidentiality perimeter, and you define it.
One body of work, one legal basis, one audience entitled to see it. The question is where a conclusion approved in one place must not be visible from another. Your own data protection officer answers that, not us, and the answer goes into the contract.
Amendments do not count again. A re-cut, a sub-analysis, an extra timepoint, a protocol amendment: same legal basis, same entitled audience, same perimeter. They are not new units. The meter is not running.
What moves the price.
- How many confidentiality perimeters you need
- How many omics you bring, clinical data counting as one
- How many people author and approve interpretations
- Which infrastructure tier your institution requires
- How long the term runs
- Any module named in your contract
What is never priced.
- Seats. Charging per person makes teams leave colleagues out of the record, which is the opposite of what this is for.
- Readers. Reviewers, validators and stakeholders are not counted, however many there are.
- Cohort size. Pricing on patient numbers would put rare disease out of reach.
- Analyses, metered per run. You declare the volume at signature. Nothing is billed per click.
- Going back to your own record. We charge for keeping it, never for opening it again.
- Storage, beyond pass-through cost at fair use.
- Export. At any time, without notice or charge: interpretations, provenance chains, rules, evidence bindings and the audit trail, in open documented formats. Leaving is not a commercial event.
An annual licence, or per study.
Where your funding arrives on a sponsor's study budget rather than an annual line, the same platform is billed per study instead. Across any twelve months you will never pay more that way than the annual would have cost for the same work. Several perimeters running at once go on the licence, not per study, so the arithmetic does not multiply.
Start with a pilot.
Every engagement starts with a scoped pilot. It is paid, it has a fixed scope and a fixed end date, and what it costs is credited against the first year if you continue.
Before it starts we agree in writing what will be measured, including review cycle time and expert hours. You keep the measurements whatever the pilot concludes. The protocol is published here → /contact#protocol.
Getting a number.
Two things settle a quote: how many confidentiality perimeters, and which omics. That is a conversation rather than a form, and we can usually give you the order of magnitude on the same call.
For public buyers, we work inside direct-award thresholds and will tell you when a threshold is in play.
